Armed Security Officer (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Overview

Wolverine Universal is hiring dependable and professional armed security officers for assignments throughout the Atlanta area. Applicants must have reliable personal transportation and be prepared to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules when required.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Georgia armed-security Blue Card or have previously held one and be eligible for reinstatement or renewal
• Must complete all licensing and firearm-qualification requirements before receiving an armed assignment
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must legally own and possess a reliable handgun suitable for duty use
• Must possess a professional duty belt and retention holster
• Must provide proof of all required credentials
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Public transportation cannot be used as the primary means of transportation to assigned posts
• Must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Must pass a criminal-background check
• Must have a working smartphone
• Must be dependable, punctual, alert, and professional
• Must maintain a professional uniform and appearance
• Must be able to complete detailed incident and daily activity reports
• Must be capable of standing, walking, and conducting patrols for extended periods
• Prior armed-security, military, corrections, or law-enforcement experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned properties
• Control access and enforce property rules
• Observe and report suspicious or criminal activity
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports
• Communicate professionally with clients, residents, guests, and law enforcement
• Protect people and property while following company policies and Georgia law

Compensation

• Starting at $25 per hour
• Assignment availability and scheduled hours may vary
• Additional opportunities may be available based on experience, performance, credentials, and scheduling flexibility
